RESTAURANTS
Uahi Island Grill
Local food good and offered at reasonable price. The food is hints of Asian influence with a Pan-Pacific flair.

They have garlic shrimp, Korean steak, garlic chicken, ahi, and fresh salads. The restaurant is decorated with beautiful artwork and pictures of Oahu. There is outdoor and indoor seating.
This is a nice casual restaurant. Shorts, a nice shirt, and sun dresses are fine attire for this gem. I recommend reservations, but walking will work too.

California Pizza Kitchen
If you’re missing a taste of home may hit the spot. My kids love this place at home or in Kailua.

It has the full menu that is offered on the mainland. This is a busy restaurant with indoor dining and take out. If you don’t like to wait, then make a reservation. They do a great job with take out.

Zippy's in Kailua
It is the Hawaiian version of Denny’s. They are famous for their Chili, served with rice of course.

They have a takeout counter with seating, or you can go into the restaurant.
They offer family sized take out meals that are good value, fried chicken, chili, teriyaki chicken or beef. Great for a beach picnic or a family dinner at home. They have one of the best bakeries on the island. They have Dubash (chocolate) cake, haupia (coconut pudding) cake and malasadas (Portuguese donut) or turnovers known as Naples in all kinds of flavors.
The all time, hands down must get it the flaky donut. This is a staple restaurant in Hawaii.

New mui kwai
The best Chinese Restaurant in Kailua, my favorite on the planet. I eat here several times per trip.

Here is what I order, its all delicious: orange chicken, char sui (barbecue pork) fried rice, Gau Gee (with pork, similar to deep fried wontons but is even more delicious.), pork hash (dumpling) and manapua baked and steamed options, try them both.
They also have gin doi (coconut one is the best) and rice cakes for dessert. Westly and his family create fantastic food with aloha for their customers.

BACI
Local food good and offered at reasonable price. The food is hints of Asian influence with a Pan-Pacific flair.

Very good Italian food. It is a small restaurant. It is more on the expensive side better for date night with adults. The chef/owner will come out of the kitchen and make sure you’re happy with your food. It is a nice old Italian feel to it.

This is a takeout restaurant. They offer healthy Mexican food.

It was surprisingly good and reasonably priced. You can get a burrito bowl, burrito style with a choice of meat, veggies, beans or rice.

Cinnamons Restaurant
Open for Breakfast and Lunch opens early and closes at 2pm. The food is fantastic.

They have a crab eggs benedict that is divine. Burgers, omlets and skillets are very good. With local favorites like Loco Moco, teriyaki too. They have a nice large menu to select breakfast or lunch items.
You will leave this restaurant full and satisfied. This restaurant is owned and operated by a Kailua Family.

Morning Brew
Coffee, breakfast and lunch. This place has been around for over 25 years. Is always good.

Dine in or take out. There is additional seating upstairs. They have great coffee, smoothies, bagels, burritos, full breakfasts, sandwiches, salads and pastry tasty treats. This is a nice Kailua staple, locally owned.
